San Francisco Tongans Rise Up is a non-profit organization founded in 2016 to organize, educate, and empower Tongan youth and their families in San Francisco. Seeing a need for energetic, nonprofit work in this area, we formed our organization to provide sensible solutions. We've consistently grown since then, all thanks to the helping hands of this amazing community!

Our mission is to identify and solicit resources needed to provide services that will enhance the quality of life for Tongan youth and their families in San Francisco. We focus on making the maximum positive effort for our community. Our members and volunteers provide the momentum that helps us affect change. Using data driven models, we provide solutions that make a long-lasting difference.

To the woman that inspired me ....
She was a struggling immigrant from Tonga that devoted her love in so many ways...There was a struggle to raise her kids Tongan in an American society that was diverse. She helped serve
many families and friends weekly over many years from delivering food from local charities to underserved families. She also helped to establish a Tongan early education program in East Palo Alto, CA. that grew overtime. The 1st Tongan pre-school, Hepeloni Christian School taught Tongan culture, language, and values. Her giving heart and dedication to the community will not be forgotten. With your love, donations and volunteering, San Francisco Tongans Rise Up ( SF-TRU ) will continue to serve and help families, friends and community who struggle with being underserved and overlooked.
